The Dawn of Grace: A Plea for Love’s Return

The storm hath passed, yet silence holds its sway,
A heavy veil that shrouds the light of home;
Like weary ships upon the freezing foam,
We drifted far from warmth and trust today.

My pride, a foolish shield I cast aside,
Lies shattered now before thy gentle feet.
Without thy smile, my world is incomplete,
And hollow rings the echo of my stride.

Let not the bitter words in anger spoken
Define the boundless depth of what we share;
For love is not a sky forever fair,
But mending parts that momentarily have broken.

So take this hand, offered in humble plea,
And let forgiveness be our healing balm;
Together we shall find the sacred calm,
For thou art all the world and stars to me.

Forgiveness is the golden thread that repairs the tapestry of affection. May this poem serve as a gentle bridge to cross the divide and hold one another close once more.
