The Quiet After the Storm: A Reconciliation

The thunder fades beyond the distant hill,
The gale that shook our walls has ceased to blow.
Now all the world is hushed and strangely still,
Save for the embers of a fading glow.

Forgive the sharpness of a chaotic tongue,
The foolish pride that dared to raise its head.
Let not these heavy curtains remain hung,
Upon the tender words we left unsaid.

See how the clouds disperse to show the light,
A gentle peace descends on dove-like wings.
Give me your hand and banish now the night,
To heal the sorrow that a discord brings.

For love is forged within the furnace heat,
And stronger grows when tempests pass away.
So let our hearts in rhythm softly beat,
To welcome in the calm of brand new day.

Like the Romantic poets who found beauty in melancholy and redemption in nature, we learn that the truest harmony often follows the deepest discord. This verse is a bridge back to unity.
