The Astral Echo: A Hymn to the Twin Soul

Before our frames were wrought of earthly clay,
We wandered through the star-lit milky way;
Two spirits woven from the selfsame light,
Before we fell into this mortal night.

I do not know thee new, but know thee old,
A sacred story that the fates have told.
Thy glance reflects a memory distinct,
Wherein our ancient destinies are linked.

No spoken word need bridge the silent air,
To strip the soul and lay the spirit bare;
A mystic chord vibrates between us two,
An echo of the heaven we once knew.

Beyond the veil of flesh, beyond desire,
We burn together in a holy fire.
Not bound by time, nor by the world’s decree,
Bound only by our shared infinity.

This piece transcends the mere physical admiration of the beloved to touch upon the metaphysical. It speaks to the Romantic ideal that true love is a spiritual reunion, a momentary glimpse of the infinite granted to two souls destined to intertwine across the ages.
