The Eternal Return: Seasons of the Heart

When vernal hues awake the slumbering bud,
And crystal dawn reflects thy laughter sweet,
A crimson tide began its gentle flood,
Where blooming hearts in tender union meet.

Then Summer blazed, a kiss of burning gold,
As Zephyr winds caressed the fevered brow;
No water cool could quell the story told,
By passion’s fire that binds our sacred vow.

Yet leaves must fall, and forests turn to rust,
As mist descends to veil the weary path;
The winds of doubt stir up the settling dust,
And shadows loom in melancholy wrath.

Beneath the frost, where silent silver gleams,
Our love remains, an oak amidst the snow;
Immortal root, preserved in frozen dreams,
A diamond light that time shall never know.

This verse serves as a meditation on the cyclical nature of affection. Just as the earth endures the shift from verdant bloom to winter’s chill, true love matures from fleeting passion into a resilient, unshakeable bond that withstands the tests of time.
