The First Year: Dawn of Our Eternity

A Year of Light

Twelve moons have waned since first I saw thy face,
And felt the tremor of a sudden start;
When Fate conspired to bind us in embrace,
And sowed the seeds of love within my heart.

We watched the winter frost adorn the pane,
And saw the buds of spring begin to bloom;
Through summer’s heat and autumn’s golden rain,
Thy presence chased away the deepest gloom.

A single year, a cycle full and round,
Wherein our souls have merged as truly one;
Within this volume that our love has bound,
The tale of us has only just begun.

So let us turn the page with joyful hand,
To write new verses in the book of time;
Beside thee, love, forever I shall stand,
In rhythm with this sweet and sacred rhyme.

This piece reflects upon the cyclical nature of love, mirroring the changing seasons while maintaining a constant emotional core. It serves as a testament to the enduring promise made during the first year of union.
