The Foam of Passion: Love’s Tempestuous Sea

Beneath the sky where fractures split the night,
Our hearts like galleons brave the gale’s decree.
The surge surrounds thy form in pale moonlight,
And in thy gaze, I drink the terror free.

Behold the foam that bites the ragged shore,
We represent the skiffs, so frail and wild.
Thy breath, a hurricane that I adore,
Has cast my spirit where the deeps are piled.

At times the ocean sleeps in mist and grey,
Yet fire burns beneath the slumbering tide.
Thy voice, the undertow that pulls away,
My kiss, the spray where secrets cannot hide.

What care I for the port or quiet lands?
Since I am bound within thy ebb and flow.
Let us be storms that strike the shifting sands,
Entwined forever where the tempests blow.

Love, like the untamable sea, does not merely carry us; it overwhelms us, transforms us, and threatens to consume us completely. This poem serves as a reminder that true passion dwells not in the stillness of tepid affection, but in the glorious tumult of unleashed emotions, where losing oneself in another becomes the only destiny worth pursuing.
