The Unyielding Harbour: A Vow of Solace

When sorrow’s heavy shadow veils thy brow,
And cruel fate descends to break thy vow,
Know that within this breast, a fortress stands,
Built strong by love and guarded by these hands.

I am the harbour from the raging sea,
The lighthouse beam that burns alone for thee.
Though chaos reigns and ancient foundations shake,
My vigil for thy soul I shall not break.

Weep freely here, let every tear flow down,
Upon this heart that wears no heavy crown.
I am thy shield against the winter’s sting,
The constant breath that makes the spirit sing.

So fear no night, nor dread the coming day,
For I am here to wash the grief away.
As long as life remains within this vein,
I am thy shelter from the wind and rain.

Drawing inspiration from the Romantic tradition, this piece transcends simple comfort to offer a metaphysical vow. It portrays love not merely as an emotion, but as a physical space of safety—a sanctuary where the weary spirit may lay down its burdens without fear of judgment or abandonment.
